Production area: Company-owned vineyards located in the southern area of the Municipality of Colonnella.
Soil: Clayey, medium texture, poor. Average altitude of vineyards: 250 metres above sea level.
Employed grapes: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Consume with: Consume with all meals; it is the perfect match for pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces ("Chitarra alla Teramana" pasta with small meat balls, "timballo di screppelle")
Alcohol level 12.5% Vol.
Serve it at 14-16°C
Manufacturing technique: White wine-making technique; must chilling and static racking. Alcoholic fermentation between 17° and 20° C. Very low temperature crio-maceration is carried out only when the harvest is poor in colour. Constant-temperature refinement in steel tanks with nitrogen charging until whine is bottled, usually before the beginning of the summer.
Organoleptic features: Colour: very clear, dark cherry-red.
Fragrance: predominant fruit flavour, with berries and ripe cherry hints which also give the colour to this wine.
Taste: fresh and well balanced, slightly tannic hints which do not revel the red-grape origin. Warm and balanced body.
